Summary

This position is accountable for independently performing a full range tasks involved in the operation and maintenance of all boilers (irrespective of pressure), engines, turbines, motors, internal combustion engines, pumps, air compressors, generators, ice and refrigerating machines, air conditioning units and plants, fans, siphons, also automatic and power-oiling pumps and proper and continuous operation of all plants, machinery and engines at the University.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Completes a full range tasks involved in the operation and maintenance of all boilers (irrespective of pressure), engines, turbines, motors, internal combustion engines, pumps, air compressors, generators, ice and refrigerating machines, air conditioning units and plants, fans, siphons, also automatic and power-oiling pumps and proper and continuous operation of all plants, machinery and engines at the University.
  • Collaborates with other university staff, faculty and students to align goals and coordinate facilities departmental efforts.
  • Assists with snow removal and other overall departmental special projects or responsibilities.
  • Advises Chief Engineer of current conditions of building mechanicals and infrastructure with recommendations for repairs or improvements.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years working as a licensed stationary engineer.
  • Experience with various types of HVAC and building operating equipment and systems including steam heating systems.
