Sr. Manager, IT Solutions Job Title: IT Senior Manager Department: Information Technology Location: Sandy, Utah, Channelview, TX Reports To: Vice President, Finance Position Overview: Critical Flow Solutions is a privately held recent carveout from a formerly publicly traded company. As the Sr. Manager, IT Solutions, you will hold the top Corporate Information Technology position in the Company. You will need to be able to act and provide functional leadership without any IT oversight other than guidance from the VP Finance and CEO. As the Sr. Manager, IT Solutions you will work hands-on leading a small, global team of IT professionals and coordinating with third-party experts supporting a strong focus on IT Security, Infrastructure, and Solutions. You will be responsible for managing IT operations, ensuring system security, overseeing infrastructure, and implementing business-driven solutions. You will balance leadership, technical acumen, and strategic vision to align technology initiatives with company objectives. You will have overall responsibility for the Company IT landscape & services which currently consists of:
- Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Defender and Dynamics (CRM)
- Microsoft Azure cloud services including Server Hosting, Entra, Intune
- Networking on premises and cloud
- Security products Crowdstrike AV and Palo Alto Firewall
- Syteline (Infor) ERP System
- ARAS PLM
- ServiceMax Aftermarket and Field Service Management solutions (FSM)
- Various supporting solutions
Principal Responsibilities: You Will: IT Security & Compliance
- Ensure data protection, access controls, and security compliance standards, particularly regarding SOX, ITIL, and other regulatory requirements.
- Implement and enhance security protocols and disaster recovery plans, regularly evaluating their effectiveness.
- Continuously improve security through vulnerability assessments, systems hardening, and patch management.
- Monitor security related trends and formulate strategies for mitigating risk in the continuously evolving global environment.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for security incidents and critical system issues.
Infrastructure & Systems Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networking, data centers, and cloud services.
- Lead initiatives to simplify IT operations, reduce costs, and mitigate risk by adopting best practices and innovative solutions.
- Proactively monitor for system or equipment failures or potential failures and oversee prevention and recovery efforts.
- Update and implement IT policies and best practice guidelines for the organization
- Manage the ERP center of excellence and support ERP solutions, ensuring systems are efficient and align with global standards.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team to achieve department goals, support employee growth, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of ongoing learning and development through mentoring, stretch assignments, and by tailoring training plans for team members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and career development opportunities for team members.
- Attract, recruit, and retain skilled IT professionals to build a high-performing team.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration:
- Champion strategic IT planning, aligning the IT roadmap with organizational objectives and ensuring it supports the overall business strategy.
- Collaborate directly with CEO as well as with other departments to develop systems that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Proactively form systems and infrastructure strategies using latest technologies in support of mid-to-long term business objectives for improved operations, growth, and diversification
- Act as a liaison between IT and non-technical departments to translate technical solutions into business value.
- Digest and coordinate work using inputs from range of IT team members and other stakeholders.
Project Management:
- Lead projects such as system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outage recoveries with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes, ensuring projects are on budget and on time.
- Apply project management principles to evaluate vendors, manage resources, and assess risks.
- Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications or system enhancements to improve operational efficiencies.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Assist with budget planning and financial management, analyzing variances and proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Optimize resource allocation to align with departmental priorities and company objectives.

- Strong understanding of IT disciplines, including networking, data centers, virtualization, cloud platforms, and security practices.
- Proficiency in ITIL framework, and disaster recovery planning.
- Hands-on experience with ERP implementations, migrations, and system consolidations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to make informed decisions in ambiguous situations and a demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to assess technology trends and optimize IT solutions.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a related field is a plus
- CCNA or work experience in the related areas
- CCNP preferred
- CompTIA Security and CompTIA Network Certification preferred
