Job Objective: As the Assistant Development Director, you will support the organization's fundraising goals by focusing on securing grants and coordinating external events. This role involves collaborating closely with the Development Director to identify grant opportunities, write compelling proposals, and manage events to engage donors and partners ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out. What You Will Do:
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications or a related field. Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed and all background check results will be reviewed. Experience: 3+ years of experience in grant writing, event planning, or nonprofit development. Equivalent combinations of education and experience which, at the sole discretion of The Salvation Army, provide the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform in this role, will be considered Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm within the first 30 days of employment Skills/Abilities:
