Are you a driven and results-oriented professional with a passion for building strong client relationships in the chemical industry? We are seeking a dynamic Sales Account Manager for our manufacturing facilities in the Chandler, AZ area.

This Sales Account Manager position is responsible for selling liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen, helium and related products, applications, and equipment to customers in the food/beverage, metals, medical, pharmaceuticals and the chemicals industry. The territory consists of Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern Nevada.

This is a residence-based position, and the candidate must live in the greater Phoenix area.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and positive demeanor.
  • Strong understanding of business risks and opportunities.
  • Portfolio Management and Contracts Negotiations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Existing customer account management, managing customer relationships, customer value creation, wallet share growth, and profit management.
  • Strong emphasis on prospecting including high rate of call activity and prompt Direct Marketing follow-up.
  • Establish a network of referrals to develop opportunity pipeline growth.
  • Utilize contract and relationships to maximize EBITDA margin expansion opportunity within customer portfolio. Understanding of contractual language is a must.
  • Utilize P&L and maintain CRM tools.
  • The incumbent will partner closely with key stakeholders including Inside Sales, Strategic Account Managers, Business Managers, Commercial Director, Commercial Technology (Central and Field), Asset Management, Onsite Business Development, Engineering, Logistics, Marketing and Operations.
  • Follow industry trends related to products and services within territory activities.
  • Overnight travel is expected for territory coverage, trade shows, and broader team meetings.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • College degree, preferably in business or engineering, or equivalent experience with strong technical aptitude.
  • 5 to 7 years of successfully demonstrated sales experience and portfolio management.
  • Ability to lead all facets of the sales process including prospecting, preparing/presenting proposals & contracts, negotiating and pricing improvement.
