Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Systems Neuroscience

A postdoctoral position is available in the Runyan lab in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. Our lab studies the organization and state-dependent function of cortical circuits in mice. We use two-photon imaging and optogenetic stimulation in mice performing perceptual decision-making tasks to reveal the organization of local networks, how this is shaped by task performance and behavioral state, or by experimental manipulations such as activation of particular cell types and projections. See our lab website and recent publications for more information about our work.

The lab is seeking a postdoctoral scientist to join our highly collaborative and collegial environment. Candidates must have a PhD in Neuroscience or a related field and experience in imaging, behavior, recording, and/or optogenetics in rodents. This position offers the opportunity to participate in growing a new research program and to work in the highly collaborative, collegial environment at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. See cnbc.cmu.edu and https://www.cnup.pitt.edu/ for more details.

Interested candidates should send a CV, statement of research interests, and contact information for two references to runyan@pitt.edu
