This position requires extensive travel - 50% or more. Typical work hours will be 8AM - 5PM, however, evenings and weekend work will be required at times.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in military education.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Veteran, and or military spouse status required.
  • Must reside in eastern region (FL, GA, AL, TN, KY, SC, NC, VA, OH) and within 50 miles of active military installation if possible.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Military and Veteran Engagement (75% Focus)

    • Establish strong relationships with military education offices, National Guard and Reserve units, and veteran organizations to connect service members and veterans with educational opportunities at Herzing.
    • Organize meetings with base Education Service Officers (ESO) and their staffs to introduce Herzing University, answer any questions they might have, and most importantly act as their primary Point of Contact (POC) to address any questions, challenges, or concerns they may have.
    • Develop and maintain a master list of POCs by service component, name of base, location of base, name and position of contact, and emails and phone numbers for contacts.
    • Develop and maintain a master calendar for all military related events to include education fairs, National Guard drill weekends, State level National Guard events, Yellow Ribbon events, and National events.
    • Represent Herzing University at military-focused on-base events, including education fairs, Transition Assistance Program (TAP) briefings, and Yellow Ribbon events.


  • First Responder Outreach (15% Focus)

    • Build relationships with police and fire academies to obtain their training curricula for review and identify potential opportunities for transfer credits.
    • Develop and maintain a master list of POCs by service community, name of department, location of department, name and position of contact, and emails and phone numbers for contacts.
    • Participate in local and regional events, such as first responder training conferences and community safety expos, to increase awareness of Herzing's programs and benefits for first responders.
    • Collaborate with first responder organizations to create customized education plans that support career advancement and continuous professional growth.


  • Community College Partnerships (10% Focus)

    • Build relationships with and work collaboratively with transfer centers to create awareness about Herzing's educational offerings and build inroads where possible to reach military students and alumni within community colleges.
    • Coordinate articulation agreements and joint events, such as transfer fairs and informational sessions, to increase visibility and facilitate student transitions.
    • Provide resources and information to community college transfer center advisors and students, emphasizing Herzing program offerings and opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain a master list of POCs by community college, name of community college, and location, name and position of contact, and emails and phone numbers for contacts.
