Inspection Sr Technician

The Red Lion Team is seeking an Inspection Sr Technician on First (1st) shift.

Summary:

Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions | Conducts quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards | Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards | Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards.

Essential Duties:

Performs repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials.
• Performs inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
• Reworks or rejects subassemblies or finished products as required. Performs audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained.
• Accurately documents the results of the inspections and testing.
• Coordinates calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
• Assists in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
• Requires ability to interpret prints, schematics, and drawings.

Required Qualifications:

• Vocational/Technicial Training Degree
• 3-5 years' experience
• OR Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education &/or Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Oral and written communication skills.
• Mathematical skills.
• Computer skills.
• Technical expertise. Detail oriented.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate calibration records in the calibration database.
• Coordinates calibration with outside contractors.
• Familiarity with ANSI Z540.3 and ISO/IEC 17025 specifications.
• Metrology lab experience calibrating gages, scales, and various types of mechanical measuring equipment.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• The position is Safety Sensitive.

Travel Requirements:

• No or very little travel likely.
