Overview

You will be a member of Deutsche Bank's Mortgage and Real Estate Finance team that is part of the broader Asset Backed Securities (ABS) Primary franchise. The role focuses on leading the origination, structuring, syndication and execution of ABS new issue and asset finance transactions in the mortgage and real estate sectors. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of deal execution from client acquisition to documenting credit facilities, approving asset fundings, risk managing the credit facilities and structuring, marketing, and closing associated securitizations. In such a role, you will interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and transaction participants, both internally and externally, requiring strong communication skills, both written and oral.

What You'll Do

  • Monitoring and reporting on warehouse risk exposure

  • Obtaining internal transaction approvals from risk management functions, including credit, legal, regulatory, and accounting; portfolio analysis

  • Cash flow scenario analysis; development of analytical modeling tools; determining securitization capital structure tranching and optimization

  • Lead the preparation of securitization marketing materials; responding to investor due diligence requests

  • Liaising with rating agencies to obtain securitization tranche ratings; reviewing and negotiating legal transaction documentation

  • Facilitating closing settlement and execution; performing market research and analytics

How You'll Lead

  • Interact with a broad range of internal and external transaction participants, including internal and external legal counsel, ABS investors, secondary trading, sales, research, rating agencies, internal risk management functions, trustees, collateral administrators, corporate service providers and regulatory, tax and accounting professionals

  • Leverage personal industry relationships to drive new deals

  • Lead the acquisition and negotiation of credit facilities; lead transaction approvals with investment committee and credit risk management

Skills You'll Need

  • A detailed understanding of clients and products

  • Good quantitative skills

  • Anticipate client and transaction needs

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Visual Basic for Applications/programming skills a plus, but not essential

  • Undergraduate degree

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K to $300K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
