Overview PRIMARY PURPOSE Manages all aspects of program administration, workflow, and operation, strategic planning, personnel management, public relations and promoting the program to the public. Duties include direct supervision of HVIP Staff, managing data, maintaining budgets, preparing grants proposals, functioning as a key liaison between stakeholders in Advocate Health's Division of Community and Social Impact, Division of Acute Care Surgery, Trauma Services, the City of Charlotte, and Mecklenburg County Public Health, regulatory agencies and relevant hospital programs. Major Responsibilities * Works with the Medical Director to develop, implement and recommend changes in program model; implements new clinical services as needed. * Works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services for high need clients. * Works with clinical leaders to orient and supervise HVIP staff including training, mentoring, and instilling a commitment to quality and excellence. * Design and implement innovative and effective market-wide strategies to increase awareness of HVIP and SDOH related programs and community violence awareness by utilizing data and evaluation strategies. * Monitors productivity and performance to identify and evaluate program/ department strengths and training opportunities in relation to operational effectiveness. * Provides trauma informed emotional support, mentoring, and advocacy to violence-involved young people who are seen as a result of community violence both within the hospital, in home, and in the community. * Keeps consistent and accurate records of all contacts with clients in web-based database, and provides documentation needed for billing for services. * Designs and directs the work of the team(s). Selects, coaches, and develops team(s). Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance by recognizing achievement, providing feedback, and administering progressive discipline when necessary. * May develop and/or recommend operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives. * Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that people actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, health education, community development, human services, education, or public administration. Work Experience 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare sector, non-profit sector or in a similar work experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to lead hospital-based strategic initiatives Ability to manage and prioritize projects Ability to plan and oversee projects to ensure completion in a timely manner Self-directed with excellent time management and detail orientation Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment with tight deadlines. Adaptability based on changing needs of the organization Knowledgeable of social health, social determinants of health, community health, evaluation, and health literacy principles Ability to engage clinical leaders and build relationships both within and outside of the health system to accomplish goals Ability to navigate Epic or another Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Ability to navigate social care networks and platforms Prior experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools is required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.
