Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Giving, the Development Manager will provide administrative support in activity related to the newly announced Strategic Giving operations. In support of the Vice President, the incumbent will assist in efforts to pursue dual objectives of this new program: managing fundraising-driven efforts focused on building a diverse constituency for birds and conservation, specifically providing strategy to secure an initial $25M investment in an essential strategic priority and driving organizational growth by modernizing our database and expanding Audubon’s philanthropic reach to include under-represented groups.
This is a unique position as it seeks one who will play an essential role creating the structure and systems necessary for this new operation. It requires an experienced administrative professional with development, project management, and capability and past experience in data analytics and market research. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who works well independently and as part of a results-oriented team, who can prioritize workload, and ensure deadlines are met. This person will have experience navigating complex organizations--such as higher education, managing high-level projects, advancing equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging, and communicating the role and values of a team within a larger organization.
