The Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (https://minghsiehece.usc.edu/) and the Department of Physics and Astronomy (http://dornsife.usc.edu/physics) at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California are conducting a joint search to hire a senior faculty member in the area of experimental quantum computing and information processing. Applicants are sought at the level of Associate or Full Professor; a tenure review will be conducted upon hiring. This search is part of the USC's recently announced Quantum Initiative. Applicants should have a doctoral degree in the relevant field, extensive record of research in any area of experimental quantum computing and quantum information science. Faculty appointments may be in either Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Physics and Astronomy. A primary position in ECE includes appointment in the newly-formed School of Advanced Computing within the Viterbi School of Engineering; similarly, a primary position in Physics includes appointment in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and an appointment to the Advanced Computing Affinity Group in Quantum Science and Engineering within the School of Advanced Computing. Joint appointments are also possible between ECE and Physics.

The annual base salary range for this position is $137,750 - $260,300.
