The Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks candidates for an Administrative Generalist to work collaboratively as part of an administrative and fiscal team. This role is responsible for providing executive level administrative support to the Vice Chief of Nephrology, Transplant and senior Transplant Nephrology team. Administrative Generalists typically support multiple operational, fiscal, and administrative functions. They are able to independently understand and interpret policy and use judgement to perform their duties. This role is primarily responsible for calendar maintenance including close coordination with Transplant Clinic scheduling to ensure clinician's availability is sufficient for patient appointments , travel logistics for incoming speakers, visiting faculty, and faculty candidates, faculty pre-and-post travel coordination and expense reporting, correspondence, all aspects of event planning, including reservations, publicizing, agenda creation, and tracking post-meeting follow-up to ensure completion of assigned tasks, and maintaining all career-related documents for assigned faculty, including curricula vitae, presentations, licenses, certifications, and continuing medical education verifications. Broad responsibilities include ordering and stocking supplies and acting as the point of contact with IT, Facilities Management and external agencies providing timely response and problem resolution. The role requires attention to detail, diplomacy, organization, and patience. Required Knowledge and Skills:
The anticipated hiring range: $60,000-$65,000 commensurate with education and experience. This is an exempt level, benefited position.
