Responsibilities

Have an established, independent line of research with efforts to expand and diversify their research portfolio. Apply advanced statistical, scientific, and technical expertise to implement clinical and institutional research projects and routine outcomes monitoring to advance the mission of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. Disseminate results through verbal and/or written reports, white papers, scholarly publications, and conference presentations. Supervise the work of Research Assistants and other staff, as assigned.

  • Conduct research projects to fulfill the organization's strategic and operational goals
  • Secure funding to support research
  • Report, publish, present, and disseminate research results
  • Provide leadership and supervision to Research Assistants and other research department staff to ensure that all projects proceed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with other internal and/or external researchers

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or related field completed within a scientist or scientist-practitioner program
  • 5-10 years of independent research
  • Nationally recognized researcher in your area of expertise
  • Completed doctoral-level coursework in research design, methodology, and advanced statistics
  • Minimum of 2 years of psychosocial treatment research activity
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior supervision and leadership experience
  • Current professional license (i.e., psychology)
