PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

THIS IS NOT AS REMOTE POSITION. Location is Minneapolis, MN and expected to be in the office Monday - Friday.

Responsible for reviewing, providing analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with the project team members and participants heavily using ArcGIS.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning, implementing, and coordinating Virtual Design and Construction processes using ArcGIS.



  1. Including, but not limited to Mortenson BIM/VDC uses: existing conditions modeling, cost estimation, phase planning (4D), site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, 3D coordination, site utilization planning, construction system design, digital fabrication, 3D control planning, and record modeling
  2. Provide point of contact for team members on VDC processes and reports during all phases of construction
  3. Document work process as it relates to improving and/or changing current company process standards
  4. Participate in Mortenson's Integrated Delivery Advancement Team community of practice - Knowledge sharing
  5. Complete daily work planning


QUALIFICATIONS


  1. Completion of beginner or intermediate level of BIM/VDC software training
  2. Must have ArcGIS experience, including mapping skills, managing data sets, backend ArcGIS knowledge.
  3. Must be able to train remote teams on ArcGIS mapping.
  4. Displaying attention to detail to organize and run multiple project tasks
  5. Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  6. Demonstrate ability to work in Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
  7. Exhibit a positive professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
  8. Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively
  9. Previous related internship experience is a plus
  10. Beginner level software training
  11. Current driver's license


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  1. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field
