Primary Purpose

The Senior HCM Business Analyst will lead the implementation and optimization of Workday as the primary Human Capital Management (HCM) system for Parkland Health. This role is crucial in managing the transition from the current system solutions to Workday, ensuring that the system meets Parkland Health's needs while enhancing operational efficiency and employee experience. Will collaborate with various stakeholders, including HR, IT, and operational leaders, to drive successful project execution and system adoption.

Minimum Specifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementation and/or end-to-end enhancements, preferably with Workday or other HRIS implementations.
  • Strong understanding of implementation principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Certification/Registration/Licensure

  • Workday HCM, Core and/or Recruiting certified is required
  • Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci) is preferred.

Skills or Special Abilities

  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful implementations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Workday modules and a solid understanding of HR processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of Workday.
  2. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
  3. Create and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  4. Design and deliver training programs and materials to support the transition to Workday.
  5. Communicate change initiatives effectively across the organization through various channels.
  6. Collaborate with project teams to integrate change management activities into overall project plans.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management strategies and adjust as needed.
  8. Provide coaching and support to managers and supervisors to help them lead change within their teams.
  9. Identify and manage anticipated resistance to change.
  10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and project team members.

Job Accountabilities

  1. Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
  2. Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.
  3. Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.
