Role Description & Responsibilities

Our Dassault Systemes SIMULIA's Industry Process Success team for H&L and T&M industry is excited to announce we have an internship opportunity available in our Royal Oak, MI office!

The Industry Process Success team at SIMULIA is dedicated to enabling engineering simulation solutions for virtual twins in automotive and home & life industry. Your role involves responsibilities in the following areas:



  • Gaining exposure to industrial scale modeling and simulation for vehicle electrification.
  • Creating virtual twin solutions for electrified powertrain development seamlessly integrating design and simulation models.
  • Contributing to harnessing currently available modeling and simulation capabilities and enhancing them to democratize innovative technologies.
  • Collaborating with experts in different domains to mature simulation technologies for challenging multiphysics design problems in electric drive & battery engineering.
  • Providing strong support for developing and refining go-to-market materials and best practices for the workflows of electric drive and battery engineering.


You will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in ensuring deployment readiness of workflow and usability. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team with skills in the following areas:



  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges related to applying solutions for CAD model creation, design parametrization, simulation model preparation, simulation result analysis and design iterations.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, gather requirements from stakeholders, and document & present critical information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Creativity: Ability to think creatively and explore innovative approaches to enhance currently available or devise novel capabilities for streamlining simulation workflows.
  • Self-Motivation and Learning Agility: Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies, as well as the ability to work independently and adapt to evolving project requirement

Qualifications

  • Education in engineering: Currently enrolled graduate student pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
  • CAD skills: Strong understandings in mechanical/electromechanical component design using a CAD systems
  • CAE skills: Experience with applying commercial CAE software for non-simple engineering design problems
  • Physics domain knowledge: Solid work/research experience in any of electromagnetics, structure, multi-body, thermal/fluid dynamics and systems engineering related to electrified powertrain and/or battery systems.
  • Programming/scripting skills: Familiarity with popular high-level programming languages, such as Python, C++ and Visual Basic (development experience in process automation, GUI or API integration is a plus).


In addition to working with your direct team, as a member of Dassault Systemes NAM Intern Program you will be invited to our Speaker Series, Lunch and Learns, Networking Events and employee functions.

This is an onsite role at our Dassault Systemes Royal Oak, MI location; no remote or offsite permitted

The total expected compensation range for this role will be between $25 and $40.
