The Internship Experience

As an EHS&S intern, your day to day will be dynamic, fast-paced, and engaging. You will have opportunities for:

• Collaboration with EHS&S leaders across the organization.

Your contributions will directly contribute to maintaining a safe and healthful work environment and mitigating industrial hygiene impacts, both tactically and strategically.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in the development and implementation of the Environmental & Sustainability and Health & Safety standards and programs.
• Participate in EHS team meetings; regularly present on EHS topics and project progress.
• Contribute to problem solving with cross-functional teams.
• Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for regulatory compliance.
• Participate in accident investigations to identify causes and corrective actions.
• Work as part of an inspection or audit team.
• Develop EHS briefs, training materials, and provide training to improve EHS knowledge.
• Analyze data, suggest corrective actions, develop, and present reports.
• Support Environmental and Sustainability projects and data collection

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or similar.
  
  
  
  • Completion of environmental, industrial health and occupational safety coursework is required, minimum of 2 years of study completed preferred.
  
  
  
  
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, standard computer applications. Experience with PowerBI and SharePoint is a plus.
• Ability to function in a constantly evolving environment and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Capability to use diverse resources, respond quickly, understand the impact of changes and decisions, facilitate agreement, and build collaborative relationships.
• Reliable transportation for commuting to and from work locations (<50 miles).
