Job Description |
HCC's Workforce Development - Corporate Training department is seeking a highly organized, customer-oriented individual to provide administrative and clerical support to the Workforce Development Office.Duties include preparing memos, reports, agendas, and other documents; managing multiple projects and tasks; compiling instructor packets and student rosters; managing course enrollments; grading courses; attending meetings, taking notes and preparing minutes; establishing and maintaining electronic and hard-copy files; managing electronic calendars; using the College's electronic applications to reserve meeting spaces, arrange catering for meetings and events, and performing related tasks; ordering office supplies; entering data in databases; working with Excel spreadsheets; greeting and advising students, faculty, staff and other guests in the division; answering phones and emails; sorting mail; providing clerical support; reporting building issues; and performing other duties as assigned. |
Required Education |
A high school diploma or
GED |
Required Experience |
A minimum of three years of administrative support experience is required. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities efficiently
- Attention to detail when entering data, preparing reports, or arranging events.
- Strong written and verbal communication for preparing memos, reports, agendas, and minutes.
- Ability to accuratly in compile instructor packets, managing enrollments, and grading courses
- Excellent customer service abilities to greet, advise, and assist a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.

General work schedule is up to 20 hours per week, to be scheduled weekdays, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.; final schedule will be determined by the supervisor. |
