Claremont, CA Job Posting Title: Assistant Dean & Director of Accommodations, Academic Resources & ServicesJob Description: PRIMARY PURPOSE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Dean and Director of Accommodations, Academic Resources, and Services will report to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. This position is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and administration of the Office of Accommodations, Academic Resources, and Services, which encompasses the planning, management, and supervision of personnel, programs, and services. The Assistant Dean and Director is charged with the interpretation of federal regulations, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 508 of 1998, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as well as relevant California state laws such as AB 77 and Title V, in conjunction with district policies concerning the rights of students with disabilities. The Assistant Dean and Director will provide guidance, counseling, and support to students with disabilities in achieving their academic aspirations. Furthermore, this position serves as a resource for students concerning disability support services, academic resources, tutoring, coaching, and other related initiatives. A key aspect of this role is collaboration and relationship building with both the Student Affairs and Academic Affairs divisions at Scripps College and Claremont Colleges Consortium partners. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Master's degree from an accredited college or university,preferably in social work, higher education, counseling, rehabilitation counseling, education, with relevant coursework and experience in counseling individuals with disabilitiesor related field or any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability to perform the job. Five years of full-time experience in higher education is preferred, alongside a minimum of two years focused on students with disabilities. Two years of supervisory experience is preferred. LICENSES / CERTIFICATES: None. OTHER: HOURS & CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS: This is a regular status, full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt position. The regular hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm, including some evenings and occasional weekends. Hours may vary due to the needs of the College or department. Salary range: $90,000-$105,000 annualized. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, andtraining. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Supervises the two Assistant Directors, one Coordinator, and student employees.
