What this job involves -
As a MAC and Events Project Management Lead you will support business initiatives with developing solutions for special projects with space planning, Events requests, and the Corporate Real Estate Team. The RPM will develop plans related to relocation requests required to support move projects and standalone ad hoc enterprise initiatives that ensure you are able communicate all related activities to see the project through implementation and completion. In this role communication skills, program management knowledge, team building skills are key when coordinating with multiple stakeholders for requests. . What is your day to day? * Maintain up-to-date project time forecasts that accurately estimate the staffing requirements for each project * Understand labor forecast reporting and collaborate with other Relocation Team Leads and/or the Variable Team Leads to select staff for project * Review and approve line item timesheet entries * Review, revise, reconcile and verify invoices within the timeframe specified by accounting * Assure completeness of all internal project administrative close-out activities * Participate actively in quarterly budget reviews * Maintain revenue status for projects/accounts * Build out of playbooks and collaborate with cross functional business lines on process development. * Manage all project activities on account and/or projects assigned * Manage personnel; delegate responsibilities and oversee work on multiple projects of varying complexity * Oversee the planning, scheduling, and implementation of project scope * Understand and manage client expectations, interact positively with client, provide diplomatic, constructive and productive feedback to accomplish end result * Be directly responsible for attracting, retaining, developing and managing a team of people who are involved with a specific set of clients, functions, business unit or projects * Recommend and/or take actions regarding team talent (with involvement of HR; Sr. Team Lead, or RMD) * Manage directly MAC staff, and delegate responsibilities and oversee work on multiple projects of varying complexity to Assistant Managers as applicable Desired experience and technical skills Required Background in project management, program management, or project strategy planning is desirable. * 6 - 10 years of facility, project or construction related experience in a Corporate Real Estate environment. * Background in project management, construction management, architecture or project strategy planning is desirable * Minimum 2 years as a Sr Relocation Project Manager or related experience. * Minimum 2 years working with/on an Events Team Proficient in a CAD/CAFM technology with a move management module and/or facilities management system * Strong Microsoft Excel skills * Strong Microsoft Projects skills * Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of technologies * Has successfully managed relocations involving over 1000 employees * Background in project management, construction management, architecture or project strategy planning is desirable * Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Detail oriented * Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed * Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently * Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts * Highly organized with strong analytical skills * Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients * Highly organized with strong analytical skills * Ability to manage all aspects of move management projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to Budgeting, Scheduling and Change orders * Previous experience effectively supervising, training, mentoring and evaluating several move managers at various levels within the organization/team * Capacity to deal with ambiguity and address complex problems Preferred Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or Operations Management. |
