Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Division of GI Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a motivated colon and rectal surgeon to join a productive division. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving team of clinicians, educators, and researchers. Northwestern Medicine is one of the premier academic medical systems in the nation. Furthermore, the GI Surgery service line is highly ranked nationally, and the Department of Surgery is positioned among leading surgery departments for receipt of NIH funding. The ideal candidate will be early career/midcareer with established academic interests and a proven track record in academic endeavors, which may be in the basic, translational, clinical trial, or health services outcomes research. We are seeking a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Clinical practice will be focused on the breadth of colorectal procedures, as well as inpatient and outpatient care of colorectal surgery patients. The candidate must be proficient in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. The candidate will contribute to medical education of General Surgery residents. Qualified candidates must (1) be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and (2) be able to obtain permanent Illinois licensure.
