Responsibilities
Pleasant Hill Family Medicine is seeking a patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare providers with patient care, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. - Room patients and obtain vital signs.
- Assist provider with patient examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures.
- May perform specimen collection, phlebotomy and specimen analysis.
- Medication and/or vaccine administration.
- Care Coordination via medication refills, prior authorizations and referral scheduling.
- Test result management and tracking as determined by provider.
- Return patient calls and inquiries via phone or patient portal.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant - current certification. Graduate of accredited program or apprenticeship program.
- BLS/Mandatory Reporter training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and cardiology procedures.
