Atrium Health is seeking an inpatient GI Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for our AH Pineville Hospital location.

Job details:

  • 100% Adult medicine
  • Inpatient service only at Pineville Hospital
  • 11-hour shifts with 171 required shifts annually
  • Shifts are 7am-6pm
  • Shifts are on weekdays only and can vary, but generally Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
  • No night or weekend call required
  • Expectation is to cover one holiday per year
  • Perform in person patient consultations, follow ups, and manage all adult patients on the GI service
  • Responsible for evaluating, stabilizing, and treating patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases
  • Assist with insertion, change, and removal of percutaneous gastrostomy feeding tubes
  • 2 years GI experience preferred, will consider applicants who have also worked in hospital medicine

Who you are:

  • Experienced APP with at least 2 years of Gastroenterology experience
  • Nurse Practitioner - Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. Acute Care board certification optional based upon population and acuity served.
  • Physician Assistant - Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master's Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
  • APP who can demonstrate appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • APP who has the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions.
  • APP who is flexible with work schedule and patient census
