Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Production Worker to join our team at our Collegedale, TN location. This position will report to the Production Supervisor. As a Production Worker, you will play an important role on our high-speed production line, ensuring the efficient and precise packaging of our snack cakes. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the packaging and inspection of finished food products that may include:
    • Packaging unwrapped snack cakes into individual wrapping
    • Placing wrapped snack cakes into cartons
    • Filling cases with cartons of snack cakes
    • Arranging cases onto pallets for shipment, following specific stacking patterns
  • Monitoring production processes to meet quality and productivity targets
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Following production schedules and meeting production quotas
  • Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to meet strict attendance guidelines (with or without an accommodation)
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn production systems/software
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with others
  • Ability to learn new processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Ability to lift 20 to 40 pounds on a regular basis (with or without an accommodation)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or a related field
