Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated technical sales representative to join our team at our Chesapeake VA yard. In this role, you will be responsible for selling engineered wood products and components to residential and commercial contractors. You will use your technical knowledge to provide expert guidance on product selection, specifications, and applications, ensuring that customers receive tailored solutions for their building projects. Your ability to understand customer needs, provide exceptional service, and drive sales growth will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities: Promote and sell engineered wood products and components to new and existing clients. Provide technical support and guidance on product specifications and applications. Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and construction professionals. Conduct on-site visits to assess project needs and provide product recommendations. Prepare and deliver product presentations, quotes, and proposals. Stay up to date on industry trends, product innovations, and competitive offerings. Qualifications: Experience in sales, preferably within the building materials or construction industry. Strong knowledge of engineered wood products, trusses, and construction applications. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A technical background or understanding of construction materials.
