Job Description
Raymond West is looking for a detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our team! This person will maintain and administer Leaves of Absence (LOA) across multiple states. This person will also collaborate with HR Business Partners to support HR policies, employee relations and with the broader HR organization to ensure the seamless delivery of HR programs. Duties and Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.
- Maintain and administer leave programs and policies in accordance with applicable laws, including the FMLA, ADA, and Pregnancy Discrimination Act.
- Supports HR systems and processes. Has ability to create content in Adobe, DocuSign and other HR systems.
- Supports and maintains HR policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with labor laws and the strategic goals of the company.
- Advises management and employees on HR policy-related matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management.
- Supports management and employees with policy interpretation and application.
- Supports HR Business Partners as needed with internal investigations into employee allegations on a wide range of employment issues such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, unethical conduct, and violations of company policies.
- Ensures accurate and thorough documentation of HR processes and procedures.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of all data.
- Provides coverage and support to HR team members.
- Remains current with changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and initiates necessary updates to HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Performs additional HR responsibilities as assigned.
- May involve travel on some occasions to different facilities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent Organizational Time Management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments
- Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
- Documented experience in HR policy development and implementation
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and without continuous oversight, and deliver results within established timelines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex HR policies and procedures to employees and management both verbally and in writing
- Experience in employee relations, including conducting investigations and facilitating resolutions, is preferred
- High level of professionalism and integrity with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations and authoring policy documents
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Solid work habits, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette
- Ability to: Prepare accurate, effective, complete, and easily understood policies, reports, and presentations
- Create, analyze, interpret, and revise HR policies aligned with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices
- Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving, resulting in successful project outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction
- Demonstrate advanced interpersonal, persuasive, and communication skills when presenting to and interacting with senior management
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely in English
Education/Experience: Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Bachelor's degree or continuing education is preferred, specifically within Human Resources education
- A minimum of 1 year of experience administering and maintaining LOA's is required
Travel Requirement:
- Occasional, minimal travel may be required to various Raymond West locations.
- Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.

- Working an 8am-5pm schedule, Monday thru Friday

Pay Range:
- The salary range for this position is $64k - $70k. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
