Pay

Salaried grade 11
$96,840 - $112, 221 / year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Actual salaries may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and other hours as needed (some flexibility available)

On-site. Candidate must live within commuting distance to Stuarts Draft, VA.

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking an Employee Health Services (EHS) Administrator to join our manufacturing operations in Stuarts Draft, VA.This role involves leading the development, implementation and evaluation of EHS strategies and goals, ensuring the health and well-being of our employees while aligning with company objectives. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide direct supervision to departmental personnel, including professional and clerical staff (assignment of work, hiring, training, evaluation and discipline)
  • Develop, monitor, and evaluate EHS policies, procedures and protocols
  • Oversee routine nursing activities and treatments per protocol
  • Coordinate emergency responses with first responder and fire brigade teams
  • Work in close cooperation with managers and supervisors at all organizational levels
  • Serve as an expert resource on FMLA, ADA, WC, DOT and OSHA laws, as well as employee health- related company policies and practices
  • Administer programs such as transitional work, reasonable accommodations, audiometric testing, medical leave of absence and drug/alcohol testing
  • Select or assist in the selecting external providers and monitor their quality and service.
  • Partner with departments including Safety, Risk Management, Human Resources, Technical Services, and others to develop, implement and evaluate processes, goals and objectives
  • Participate and contribute to corporate initiative teams
  • Maintain medical records in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Work collaboratively with managers and supervisors at all organizational levels
  • Provide health services to employees within the scope of the State of Virginia Nurse Practice Act
  • Actively promote accident/illness prevention in collaboration with Safety, HR, and operational departments
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required for meetings and workshops

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Virginia
  • At least three years of nursing experience, preferably in an occupational health setting
  • Certification as an Occupational Health Nurse(COHC) or willingness to obtain within one year of hire
  • Current CPR and AED certification
  • Certified to perform drug and breath alcohol testing
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with group presentations
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization and as a team player
  • Advocate for positive change and continuous improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and employee health and safety software, preferably Cority
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in occupational health nursing
  • Supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Experience administering Federal/State regulations such as FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, drug/alcohol testing, OSHA, and DOT
  • Proficiency in employee health and safety software, preferably Cority
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
