Tax Analyst

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join their dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to tax compliance, research, reporting, and strategic tax planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public accounting, with hands-on experience in tax research, corporate tax, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on federal, state, and international tax laws, regulations, and guidelines to ensure full compliance and support effective tax planning strategies.

  • Collaborate with senior tax professionals to design and implement tax strategies aimed at minimizing corporate tax liabilities while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Review and analyze financial and tax data to ensure accuracy and completeness in internal reporting, optimizing tax outcomes for the business.

  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for internal and external audits, tax filings, and other inquiries, ensuring thorough and timely responses.

  • Work closely with finance, accounting, legal, and other key departments to ensure tax considerations are embedded in business decisions and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

  • CPA required.

  • 2-4 years of tax-related experience, ideally in public accounting or corporate tax environments.

  • Experience in corporate taxation, tax compliance, or advisory is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of tax laws, principles, and regulations at the federal, state, and international levels.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex tax data and regulatory frameworks.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify and explain technical tax concepts to non-experts.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and experience with tax software.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
