Sr. / Principal Engineer, Life Cycle Engineering Location

Job Description This Engineer will work within the BIW Engineering Department's Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) organization as a member of the Reliability, Maintainability & Availability (RMA) team. This Engineer will leverage their specialty reliability and maintainability (R&M) skills to effectively implement R&M requirements onboard U.S. Navy Ships for Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems. Typical skills and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide Failure Reporting Analysis & Corrective Action (FRACAS) expertise to the Zumwalt Class Ship Program, including during fleet deployment and build-yard maintenance periods (BYMP). Perform engineering tasks to effectively document HM&E equipment failures, participate in Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and generate reliability metrics, including reliability growth calculations.
Required/Preferred Education/Training
Required/Preferred Experience Sr. Engineer - 5+ years' experience required Principal Engineer - 12+ years' experience required
