WHAT WE NEED: A Traveling Receptionist (internally known as Medical Office Assistant) based out of Tukwila, WA (close to I5!) This position does require between 25-30% travel to clinic sites in Seattle, Everette, Tukwila, Tacoma, and Olympia.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Quality health care doesn't just happen. It requires the help of a person who can follow the directions of a doctor while also making the patient feel comfortable. The ability to give the same level of attention and detail to each and every patient, maintain a smooth flow of examinations, and cover the front desk to ensure all questions and inquiries are handled accordingly. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting in the training of our new clinicians and auditing clinicians cases and workflow, inventory, and ensuring procedures are properly followed.

This is a full-time, Monday-Saturday position (hours vary based on our doctors availability) with benefits including paid travel time and mileage reimbursement. Salary range $20 to $21



Responsibilities

    Greets all visitors and examinees and directs them appropriately
  • Answers all incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Screens each call, obtaining the callers' name and relevant detail regarding the nature of the call, then routes the call appropriately.
  • When necessary, reviews chart to verify examinee name, file number, case type, etc. and adds any additional information on chart appointment sheet prior to examination.
  • Provides examinees with all required paperwork for completion and ensures placement in the chart.
  • Routes examinee to exam room, vitals room and/or x-ray room as needed.
  • When necessary, chaperones examinations with female examinees or as requested by physician.
  • Maintains a smooth flow of examinations to ensure appointments are kept on schedule.
  • Performs clerical duties such as typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required.
  • Oversees the cleanliness of the lobby and reports any issues to management.
  • Promotes effective and efficient utilization of clinical resources and supplies.
  • Participate in various educational and or training activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 6 months on the job experience in a medical office or related field preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to perform day travel as required
  • Must hold a valid state Driver's License
  • Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone
  • Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to managements' directions accurately
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team -oriented environment.
  • Must be able to stay focused and concentrate under normal or heavy distractions.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and or stressful conditions.
  • Must possess the ability to manage change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately.
  • Demonstrates reliability and abides by the company attendance policy.
  • Must maintain a professional and clean appearance at all times consistent with company standards.
