Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Website Developer Assistant for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. The Rutgers Eco Complex "Clean Energy Innovation Center" is dedicated to moving inventions from the lab to successful real-world applications. The position will be located at the off-site Bordentown, NJ office.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Provides basic assistance such as the setting up and cleaning of equipment, updating website etc.
  • Reviews website content for accuracy and compile list of needed content corrections.
  • Recommends upgrades and additions to existing website application.
  • Improves the appearance of the website and make it more user friendly.
  • Improves the filtering of the website for specific web searches.
  • Reports to director of department weekly with progress reports and materials.
  • Updates webpages as needed in WordPress per the direction of supervisor.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in website development or other research, technical fields.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Computer skills and basic knowledge of the Excel Word and especially Word Press Web design application.
  • Interpersonal and written communication skills are essential.
