Apply now Date: Jan 8, 2025 Location: Company: The Tactical Space Systems Group (Group 96) develops technologies and prototypes to enhance the performance and resilience of U.S. space systems and to provide flexible new space capabilities to the U.S. Government. The Group executes both large-scale system prototypes including satellite payloads and ground systems, as well as earlier stage technology development and demonstration programs with partner groups across the laboratory. The group is predominantly composed of scientists and engineers with expertise in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, electronics and software/firmware. Job Description
Group 96 is hiring System Analysts. As a Systems Analyst, you will use first principles to assess threats to U.S. space systems and identify technologies and tactics to counter these threats. Successful candidates will have a willingness to tackle open-ended, multi-disciplinary problems. You may be asked to analyze systems pertaining to targeting, communications, navigation, and rocket flight. Promising solutions will be recommended for in-depth analysis, prototype, and test. The assessment is typically delivered by briefing senior leaders in the DoD and Intelligence Community. Excellent communication skills, or an eagerness learn, are critical. It is not necessary to be an expert in tactical space systems or defense systems analysis. Candidates with a Bachelors in physics or engineering are encouraged to apply. Working knowledge of MATLAB, C/C++, and/or Python are required. Requirements
