Seeking a Field Technician Top Skills' Details 1. Structure Cabling 2. Knowledge of electrical wiring and components 3. AV, Access Control, Electrical or Security System installation knowledge Description Candidate will be installing and servicing high-end turnstile and access control systems at commercial customers. These individuals will need to have experience and/or knowledge with structured cabling, access control systems, security systems, and electrical wiring components and diagrams. Benefits include (but not limited) Responsibilities Perform maintenance and installation of turnstiles, vehicle gates, and security revolving doors. Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs as necessary. Exhibit effective communications skills. Coordinate with management and customer on a regular basis. Basic construction Knowledge (OSHA 10+ hour Certification is a bonus) Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or existing systems. Informs project team regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action, and/or complying with building regulations. Updates and maintains technical documentation. Maintains assigned vehicles and equipment in excellent condition. Ensures availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair. Ability to travel 4-5 days per week. Weekends are rare but a possibility. Establishes effective working relationships with those contacted during the course of work, and communicates clearly, concisely, and effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical individuals. Maintains currency with industry trends, voice & data communications, and technical solutions. Mission oriented Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while working effectively with minimum supervision. Minimum Qualifications Two years experience in a low voltage field, such as an electrician, access control specialist, fire and security, maintenance, revolving door technician, etc. Valid and current American Association of Automatic Doors Manufacturers (AAADM) Certification, highly preferred. Possession of a valid Driver's License Ability to work under limited supervision while using standardized practices and/or methods. Low voltage technicians must be able to lift and pull items weighing up to 90 pounds, and work outside in any season Basic typing and computer skills are required to maintain and update customer information, repair logs, inventory, and similar records Ability to work in all climates indoors and outdoors Proficiency in multi-meter usage. Knowledge of "dry" vs "wet" contacts OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 a plus) Skills* Cabling, AV, Electronics, security system, wiring Top Skills Details Cabling,AV,Electronics,security system,wiring Additional Skills & Qualifications **These roles will require extensive travel nationally. What area or range will they be asked to cover? oWe would prefer them to be local to our HQ in Clarksville but we cover all of the USA and sometimes into the Caribbean (passports are required) Overnight trips? oMost of the work will be over night Mon-Thurs.
