Job Description

The Receptionist-Registration will perform a variety of data entry and patient flow management functions for outpatient departments in the facility. It is the responsibility of the registration representative- Check in to accurately collect patient demographic information, and utilize patient tracking tool to manage workflow. Under the direction of the patient access manager, he/she is responsible to follow all registration and admitting policies and procedures. Performs a variety of admitting/administrative tasks to accurately document the admission of patients of all ages to the Hospital. Acts as a resource in providing all customers with the highest level of service. Enhances the hospital experience for patients, families and visitors by providing appropriate hospitality and concierge services.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the initial greeter for all patients/visitors entering the facility.
  • Completes all registrations in a professional, accurate and customer-oriented timely manner.
  • Obtains information from patient health insurance or managed care identification card.
  • Responsible for distributing to patients or their representative any required handouts.
  • Maintains forms in all printers at all times, which may require lifting or carrying cases of forms. Must have knowledge of all software and hardware computerized equipment.


Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Minimum Work Experience

  • 6 months face-to-face customer service experience Required
