GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides leadership, direction and administration of clinical operations to ensure accomplishment of objectives. Supervises practice managers and administrative support staff as delegated by the President-Bryan Physician Network.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

2. *Creates an organizational climate built on mutual trust, transparency and a focus on service improvement that encourages teamwork, engagement and supports diversity.

3. *Directs, supervises and coordinates specific functions and activities of Bryan Physician Network clinics including systems, materials management, human resources, revenue cycle, electronic health record, maintenance and support services.

4. * Effectively supports human resource processes including scheduling performance appraisals, staff recruitment, selction and retention, training and education, motivation, coaching and mentoring and appropriate productivity measures.

5. *Acts as primary liaison when President-Bryan Physician Network is unavailable; assists the President-Bryan Physician Network in developing new services and clinics.

6. *Promotes the provision of cost-effective, high-quality health care services for patients.

7. *Oversees medical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

8. *Collaborates with other leaders to develop and maintain consistent policies and practices across Bryan Physician Network.

9. *Collaborates with providers to improve the operations of BPN, including strategic planning, patient satisfaction, provider relations, quality assurance and other operational improvements.

10. *Recommends clinic facility improvements in collaboration with the Practice Manager including construction, renovation and purchase of equipment.

11. *Works with the BPN Revenue Cycle Manager and practice managers to ensure successful financial operations. Oversees proper operational and capital planning, appropriate and efficient use of resources and consistent compliance to budgetary and fiscal controls.

12. *Works with providers to maximize patient flow and productivity.

13. *Develops and maintains quality measures to achieve high satisfaction measures and feedback from providers, staff and patients.

14. *Develops, monitors and responds to a full range of financial, service and quality indicators in all areas of responsibility.

15. Leads operational strategy with a focus on efficiencies and technology solutions.

16. *Develops and maintains positive provider and employee relationships on behalf of BPN.

17. *Works closely with medical staff to obtain input and support of program initiatives and improvements. Supports the medical staff functions and facilitates the transition and orientation of new medical staff.

18. *Leads and supports development of quality initiatives and other programs in collaboration with Clinical Improvement Consultants to continually improve cost effectiveness and quality of services and patient and customer satisfaction.

19. *Develops and leads clinic and departmental policies, objectives and operational procedures to practice managers; resolves problems related to staffing utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies.

20. *Represents clinics at public and professional meetings and conferences as requested; participates in clinic communication and public relations programs.

21. *Ensures coordination of accreditation and licensure activities and oversight of quality assurance/improvement initiatives for assigned clinics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Five (5) years of progressive healthcare management experience required. Experience working in a multi-specialty clinic environment preferred. A degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a related field is desired. Master's degree preferred. Candidates without a degree must possess five (5) years of related experience.

Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act preferred.
