Reporting and Analytics Lead

The Analytics and Reporting Lead will be Accountable for driving the reporting and analytics solution approach and standardization across the shared services function. This position offers significant responsibility and interaction with leaders and stakeholders across the company to align strategic initiatives, coordinate cross-functional projects, deliver actionable insights.

Detailed Description:



  • Analyze data from various systems using advanced statistical techniques to generate insights that inform decision-making.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive share service reporting strategy that aligns with business goals and improves data-drive decision-making across Patterson-UTI.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify, define, and consolidate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that drive business performance.
  • Define future state technology solutions to enhance reporting capabilities and support Patterson-UTI's long-term reporting strategy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and management to assess and understand business needs, ensure reporting solutions meet organization objectives.
  • Support the testing phase of reporting solutions, identifying, and addressing any blockers to ensure successful implementation.


Job Requirements

  • Functional knowledge of the use of data and reporting requirements within the enterprise.
  • Proven experience implementing reporting solutions utilizing various SAP reports and other BI tools with a focus on automation and optimization.
  • Understanding of the systems and toolsets relevant to the functional area, ensuring effective integration.
  • Strong relationships with key business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments for reporting and analytics needs.
  • Proven team player with ability to work with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive under time-sensitive deadlines, maintaining a calm, solution-focused demeanor when faced with challenges. Strong organization skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, prioritizing tasks with many distractions, and managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Flexible and proactive problem solver adept at achieving results in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Hands on experience in Power BI or Tableau report building and query generation capability.
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to run reports and complete analysis. Advanced proficiency in MS Office to include Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience and relevant certifications.10 + years of relevant work experience in consulting, SAP administration, and/or corporate financial systems roles



Preferred Qualifications:



  • SAP Analytics Cloud certification
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and integrating to data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • SAP or other certifications


Additional Details:

Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
