Job Summary

In this role as Lab Technician, you will be working with a highly motivated team to bring to market innovative solutions for customers in the Industrial Automation Markets. Key aspects for this role will be to verify and validate our products using our lab equipment.

Job Description

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable in the operation and function of electronic testing equipment and data collection.
  • Ability to interpret, summarize and communicate testing results.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on electrical principles
  • Knowledgeable in standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies
  • Electric motor/gear motor knowledge is a strong plus but not required.
  • Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 25 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education

  • Associates degree in related field, or equivalent industry work experience strongly recommended
  • IPC - A - 610 Industry Printed Circuit board strongly recommended.

Experience and qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of technician experience in electrical/electronics lab environment preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic and mechanical components used in electronic assemblies preferred
  • Familiarity with lab equipment like oscilloscope, power meter, chart recorder etc., preferred
  • Have soldering skills to solder electronic components preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery
