Job Summary |
The Department of Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a
TES Research Aide position to provide assistance with ongoing research projects. |
Essential Functions |
Essential functions but not limited to the following:
* Assist with electrical troubleshooting and with research equipment installation, fabrication, and repair
* Assist with cleanliness and presentability of
BSEN laboratories
* Assist with managing
BSEN equipment inventory
* Cleans and maintains field and/or laboratory equipment
* Perform other duties as assigned by the department head |
Minimum Qualifications |
Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent
* No experience required for Level 1
* Level II: High school diploma equivalent plus 2 years of relevant experience or Associate degree in a technical area relevant to electrical troubleshooting/equipment fabrication and repair.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, demonstrated technical excellence, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Minimum License and Certifications: Valid driver's license required. |
Desired Qualifications |
Occasional and/or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals etc. but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards that may likely results in cuts, bruises, etc.
Job frequently requires standing, walking reaching, talking, handling objects with hands and lifting up to 10 pounds |
