As a therapist at PrairieCare, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy to our patients. You'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated professionals to deliver comprehensive treatment that transforms lives and supports families on their mental health journeys.


Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate and Connect: Work closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team and partner with patients and their guardians to create tailored therapeutic plans.

  • Diverse Patient Care: Provide a comprehensive range of psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

  • Empower Families: Enhance the functioning of patients and their families, guiding them toward their next chapter in mental health and wellness.

  • Coordinate Care: Seamlessly connect with external providers and caregivers during admission and discharge to ensure continuity of care.

  • Share Your Expertise: Lend your insights and skills to the treatment team, participating in case conferences and treatment rounds to foster a collaborative environment.

  • Engage in Growth: Immerse yourself in enriching clinical opportunities focused on diversity, inclusivity, and equity, while supporting your fellow therapists and interns.

  • Supervise and Mentor: If qualified, take on the rewarding role of supervising Master's level interns or associate therapists, helping to shape the next generation of mental health professionals.

  • Stay Compliant and Confidential: Maintain clinical records and billing in accordance with PrairieCare policies and regulatory standards, while upholding the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Participate in Safety Protocols: Be trained and ready to engage in holds/restraints processes as necessary to ensure patient safety.

  • Contribute to Team Culture: Support new employee hiring by participating in selection committees and offering training as needed, fostering a welcoming and collaborative workplace.


Qualifications

  • A licensed mental health professional with a passion for providing person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
