MMSD is seeking qualified candidates for the position of ITS Operations Analyst in the Information Technology Services Division. Reporting to the ITS Operations Supervisor, you provide technical support and maintenance for software and hardware systems.  You are responsible for the administration and maintenance of the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment, monitoring desktop and server clients, creating and managing software updates, and developing operating system images for deployment to various devices.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

System Center Configuration Manager:

  • Provide efficient means of managing MMSD's inventory of PC-related assets and software including updates and maintenance.
  • Application packaging and deployment.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting of the site, desktop, and server clients.
  • Operating system deployment, image building, and maintenance.
  • Management and deployment of monthly Windows quality and feature updates.
  • Training users and advising on best practices.

System and Network Administration:

  • Maintain SCCM environment, employee directory website, active directory administration, group policy, exchange administration, Sophos Antivirus software administration, Microsoft Intune administration, DNS/DHCP administration, VDI-Remote App/Remote Desktop, network copper wiring (data jack), and ProWatch Security System (door controllers) administration.
  • Guide coworkers with SCCM administration and maintenance of servers to prevent costly downtime.  
  • Confirm servers are secure and protected with latest version of Sophos and deploy Windows security updates for server clients afterhours and weekends using SCCM’s Automatic Deployment rules for fast and efficient monthly deployments.  Proactively monitor servers health using Orion IP Monitor tool.
  • Setup and administer permissions on folders and files on the servers.

Administrative Duties:

  • Assignment of user requested incidents via email and/or phone message to individuals.
  • Azure Intune Management to include Mobile Device Management (MDM):
    1. Device enrollment
    2. Device encryption
    3. Device policy & compliance configuration

Mobile Application Management (MAM)

  1. Application enrollment
  2. Application encryption
  3. Application policy & compliance configuration

Desktop/Laptop Maintenance:

  • Troubleshooting of common software and hardware issues.
  • Maintenance of expired warranty devices (part replacement, BIOS and firmware upgrades, etc.).
  • Monthly installation of operating system updates.
  • Setup and configuration of PC devices for new end users.
  • Copier and printer (print server administration) replacement of consumable and initial troubleshooting (Bios and firmware updates). 

Telecom Management and Service:

  • Moves/changes, troubleshooting, and new user setups.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer networking, cloud computing, or a related field.
  • Three years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of computer operation principles and data communication equipment.
  • Experience with ticketing systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SSCM.
  • Knowledge of Active Domain Directory Services (AD DS), Domain and Local Group Policy settings, and Windows Security settings.
  • Experience with Intune or other mobile device management (MDM) systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Azure, a cloud computing platform.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with PCs, printers, and other peripheral devices.  
  • Computer software proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license required and a good driving record at time of application, during the selection process, and throughout employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force and occasional exertion of up to 100 lbs. of force.
  • Work regularly requires sitting, using hands, and repetitive motions.  Work frequently requires speaking, hearing, and reaching with with hands and arms.  Work occasionally requires standing, walking, kneeling or crawling, and pushing or pulling.

Sensory Requirements:

  • Work has standard vision requirements.  Vocal communication is required for expressing ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.  
  • Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts within arms length, and observing general surroundings and activities. 

Environmental Exposures:

  • Work has no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Work is generally in a quiet location.

Requires the use of safety glasses and hardhat as dictated by the location of work being performed.
