Job Description

The Air Traffic Control & Weather Systems Group is developing a range of advanced technologies to improve transportation and logistics safety and/or efficiency. This summer internship position project will involve the design and development of algorithms and software for next-generation transportation and logistics decision support systems. The candidate will participate on a product development team and support multiple aspects of the project, potentially including algorithm development leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, user interface design and development, back end software infrastructure development, and documenting software. Typical development languages include Java, Python, C++, and/or MATLAB.

The successful candidate will be pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. Experience in software development (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java) required.

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
