Policy Analyst - ICAM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Identity Policy Analyst with a minimum of 4 years of experience in identity management, credentialing, and access management (ICAM) policy development and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and updating policies related to identity and access management, ensuring compliance with federal standards and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of ICAM frameworks, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development and Analysis:
    • Develop and refine identity management policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with federal standards, such as NIST and FICAM.
    • Analyze existing ICAM policies to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement, and recommend necessary changes.
    • Conduct research on emerging identity management trends and best practices to inform policy updates.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure that identity management policies comply with federal regulations, including but not limited to HSPD-12 and NIST SP 800-53.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in identity management processes and propose mitigation strategies.
    • Support internal audits and compliance reviews by providing relevant policy documentation and reports.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with program managers, IT security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of identity management policies.
    • Provide policy guidance and interpretation to ensure that stakeholders understand and adhere to ICAM requirements.
    • Facilitate discussions and meetings with stakeholders to address policy-related concerns and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare clear and concise policy documentation, including policy manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and briefing materials.
    • Maintain an up-to-date repository of all identity management policies and related documents.
    • Provide regular reports on policy development progress, challenges, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Training and Awareness:
    • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to educate staff and stakeholders on identity management policies and their implications.
    • Promote awareness of identity management best practices across the organization through regular communications and workshops.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Public Administration, or a related field. Lack of degree can be accommodated with 2 additional years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in identity management, credentialing, and access management (ICAM) policy development and analysis.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Zero Trust architecture, ensuring secure identity and access management aligned with federal ICAM policies.
  • Strong understanding of federal ICAM frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., FICAM, NIST SP 800-53, HSPD-12).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex policy concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a federal or highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with policy development tools and methodologies.

Salary: $145,000 - $165,000 USD Hourly depending on experience and skill set
