Mission

This position is responsible for sourcing service items at the best total cost of ownership for the aftermarket. This includes data accuracy in NSC's ERP system for purchasing data, possible new supplier setups with the proper paperwork, and analysis of data. It also includes the ability to communicate accurately and effectively and establish agreed upon processes cross functionality.

Roles and Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collects and compiles quotes from different vendors using sourcing guidelines, selecting the best vendor quote with the total cost of ownership following the NSC prokura.
  • Analyzes data and works with the responsible parties to ensure data accuracy and entry of data is completed for the purchasing portion.
  • Report on monthly basis the progress and achievements with clear quantified benefits; presents to team and in management meetings.
  • Identifies reliable service supplier and/or finds a new supplier for selected project and/or commodity.
  • Works with responsible purchaser on details of the commodity and guidance on preferred vendors.
  • Setup new suppliers, when needed with the required supplier documents and workflow approvals.
  • Establish a new process(es) with other groups with mutual agreements and document the process using our documentation guidelines.
  • Work with various groups to implement a new template that has auto-refreshable data.
  • Support localization projects within the US market.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Dynamic and motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS, payroll, and similar employee management software.
  • Technical knowledge of construction equipment and/or business practices is a benefit.

Education and Experience:

  • Pursuing degree in Business, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Sourcing or related field.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally).

Travel

Frequent travel required to supplier(s) and the service center located in Charlotte, NC.
