We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Research Assistant interested in human genetic variation and disease at Boston Children's Hospital. This position will involve extracting, amplifying, and sequencing genetic material from bulk and single cell tissue samples related to multiple diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases. Training in computational and bioinformatic research methods is also available, if desired. As an NIH funded lab at Boston Children's Hospital, the goal of the Lee lab is to characterize genomic variation and functional change associated with human disease using computational genomics and bioinformatic approaches. Currently, we focus on investigating aberrations in transposable elements, and other types of genomic variants in various human diseases.
