We are a full service engineering design and construction services firm for MEP, fire protection and alarms, and low voltage/special systems for a wide range of vertical construction projects and improvements related to buildings, facilities, and sites. Overall Responsibility: The Electrical Designer shall be engaged in projects involving, but not limited to, the design of facility related electrical distribution systems, interior and exterior lighting, and emergency backup systems. They will participate in project teams to undertake the design and delivery of services related to design and construction of electrical systems, as well as the overall project. This position shall be responsible to the Electrical Practice Lead and various project managers of the projects they are working on.

Essential Functions:



  • Functions as Electrical Designer on assignments with electrical design scope and other disciplines.
  • Participates in the design development of electrical work including technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ensures coordinated design on projects including proper coordination with mechanical and plumbing designs.
  • Able to provide advisory information during the construction phase.
  • Able to perform site surveys.
  • Participates in the monitoring of project production and schedules to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Participates and ensures the quality of the work produced maintains high standards.
  • Participates in internal and external project meetings on a regular basis

Secondary Functions:



  • Related duties as assigned by the Electrical Practice Lead.
  • Supports applicable requests as needed.
  • Lends support to all business areas outside of electrical focus as needed.

Qualifications
Needed Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Working experience with (or ability to learn within four months of hire): AGI32 or Visual.
  • Working experience and/or ability to learn and become capable in applying codes specific to area of expertise.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Detail and safety-oriented.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendor


Education/Experience Minimum:

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or other related field. Five (5) to Ten (10) years' experience in a technical capacity reflecting increasing responsibility.



  • Ability to drive and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Valid state driver's license (any in US).
  • In possession of appropriate paperwork to gain and maintain employment in the US.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire drug testing and background check(s).
  • Ability to meet worksite security requirements including criminal background checks and DHS threat assessment evaluations.
