Job Overview

The Credit Finance Analyst reports to the Director of Credit Finance and interprets financial data, compiling it into concise summaries for various leadership levels. They regularly utilize Excel, Tableau, and SQL to support financial analysis and present findings in PowerPoint. The analyst interacts with internal and external business partners to ensure alignment on assumptions in forecasts across teams.

What You Will Do



  • Review and analyze monthly financial forecasts for Macy's Credit & Customer Services and the Credit Portfolio.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports by leveraging insights from data analysis.
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources to support and influence business strategies.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business Intelligence Analysts to design and automate dashboards that highlight ongoing trends for management.
  • Develop and maintain Excel reports to address ad hoc financial requests from senior leadership.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate findings to senior leaders and support collaborative planning and execution meetings.
  • Regularly communicate, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external departments, including Credit Finance, Macy's Credit & Customer Service, and Citibank.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.



Skills You Will Need

Data Analysis and Interpretation: Strong ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources, summarizing it effectively for actionable insights.

Financial Forecasting and Reporting: Expertise in reviewing and preparing financial forecasts and monthly reports for senior leadership.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and SQL, with the ability to create and automate dashboards and generate data-driven solutions.

Presentation Skills: Skilled in developing and delivering compelling PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings to senior leaders.

Collaboration and Relationship Building: Adept at working with internal and external stakeholders to align assumptions and strategies across teams.

Project and Time Management: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with diverse teams and leadership levels.

Problem-Solving and Initiative: Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to drive planning and execution of departmental goals.

Autonomy and Adaptability: Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accuracy and delivering results.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on accuracy when compiling reports, analyzing financial data, and addressing ad hoc requests.
