SUMMARY
As the IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Administrator, you will oversee our ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. You will possess a deep understanding of CMDB best practices and collaborate effectively with IT teams to maintain the completeness and reliability of our CMDB. You will help develop and maintain the technical design of the ServiceNow CMDB to meet the current and anticipated scope, maintain CMDB integrity, and effectively support other IT Service Management (ITSM) processes such as Event, Incident, Change, and Asset Management. Your role will be crucial in aligning our CMDB to ITSM core processes to successfully achieve organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all Configuration Items (CIs) such as hardware, software, network, communications, and data, are actively recorded and positively managed.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management processes and standards.
  • Manage the Configuration Management Plan and its implementation.
  • Support periodic reviews of configuration management processes and standards to ensure they align with best practices.
  • Identify and implement improvements to CMDB processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Generate and present regular reports on CMDB status, metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data within the CMDB.
  • Configure and manage Discovery schedules.
  • Configure and Manage CMDB Health Dashboard and CI Health and Hygiene Tasks.
  • Integrate with third party applications to bring Asset Data into CMDB.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools to monitor the effectiveness of ITOM and CMDB processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for IT teams to ensure effective adoption of ITOM and CMDB functionalities within ServiceNow.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB features, updates, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations for continuous improvement.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required.
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist) are a plus.
  • ITIL Foundation preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 4-6 years proven experience in configuration management, CMDB administration, ITOM or related IT service management roles required.
  • 1-3 years experience with ITIL processes and best practices preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The anticipated pay range for this position is $78,540 to $125,730 per year (in CO & WA), $71,400 to $114,300 per year in MN and depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location. Additionally, this role is eligible to receive annual discretionary cash bonuses. Benefits available for this position include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability benefits and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at .088 per hours worked which equates to approximately 23 days per year inclusive of paid sick time) and up to 11 paid Federal holidays. Please note this information is provided for those hired in Minnesota, Colorado and Washington only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Minnesota, Colorado and Washington with compensation that aligns with your location.
