Responsibilities

As a Security professional within MTSI, you will be responsible for working in several different security disciplines; to include Special Access Programs. You will interact daily with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) supporting Department of Defense (DOD), and Intelligence Community (IC) customers. This position will be located on Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:

  • Visitor and Access Control
    • Escort facility visitors and maintain associated logs.
    • Assist in preparing and issuing facility access control badges.
    • Maintain and support facility access control systems, including visitor management.
    • Research, process, file, and maintain inbound and outbound visit notices.
  • Personnel Security and Clearance Processing
    • Perform data entry and maintain personnel access records in JADE and other security databases.
    • Manage personnel security files and customer-sponsored billets.
    • Track and monitor security clearance processing with government personnel.
    • Conduct security checks in DISS, DCII, and SAPNP for SAP access eligibility.
    • Execute the Special Access Program Nomination Process and Program Access Requests (PARs).
    • Conduct personnel indoctrinations.
  • Classified Material and Document Control
    • Process and track inbound and outbound classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and receipts.
    • Maintain a document accountability database and associated correspondence.
    • Perform destruction of classified materials and process magnetic media for accountability.
    • Support classified document reproduction and data transfers.
    • Maintain administrative logs related to classified document control.
  • Program Security Oversight and Compliance
    • Oversee all aspects of Special Access Program (SAP) security.
    • Supervise and ensure compliance with SAP security policies and procedures.
    • Participate in Air Force SAP security inspections for government and industry.
    • Develop, analyze, and recommend security procedures and guidance.
    • Support and coordinate internal and external security briefings.
    • Implement and manage Top Secret Control for accountable materials.
  • Security Administration and Support
    • Follow and enforce the customer's Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Provide support for security awareness and education programs.
    • Assist with facility security requirements and approvals.
    • Manage Information Systems Security and generate security classification guidance.
    • Ensure security requirements are incorporated into contractual documents.
    • Develop security plans for program activities and events.
    • Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members.
    • Perform miscellaneous administrative support as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of related security experience, preferably in SAP facilities/programs.
  • Prior experience as a GSSO, CSSO, PSR, or FSO is highly desired.
  • Must possess a current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) access.
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Must be familiar with DoD security policies, including DoD 5205.7 Vol 1-4 and ICD 705.1.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
  • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable interacting with DoD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.
  • Driven to contribute to aerospace, defense, and advanced technologies.
  • Committed to continuous learning and making a meaningful impact.
  • Must complete DoD SAPCO-approved SAPNP training (if performing personnel security functions).
  • Willingness to travel within various facilities at WPAFB.
