Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager with 10 to 14 years of experience in Commercial Project Management. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage various commercial projects ensuring they are completed on time within scope and within budget. This hybrid role requires strong technical and functional skills and the ability to work effectively in a day shift environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of commercial projects.
  • Define project scope goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will meet the business objectives.
  • Oversee project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team members.
  • Manage project budget and resource allocation.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and report on progress to stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports proposals requirements documentation and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete current and stored appropriately.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelors degree in Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial project management.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or equivalent.
  • Have strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Display the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Be adept at problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Show experience in managing budgets and financials.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Show commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

Certifications Required

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $73,350- $133,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
