Kurita's corporate philosophy is to study the properties of water, master them and create an environment in which nature and humanity are in harmony The Field Technical Manager's primary responsibility is to create and to develop ongoing business relationships with our business client's senior managers, technical supervisors, engineers and technicians to reduce their cost and risk. Remote Role Title: Field Technical Manager Travel: 80-100% within territory Pay: $135K to $160K plus bonus
Responsibilities
Generate and maintain a credible forecast for accounts and territories and provide this information on a regular basis to Senior Management.
- Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects
- Serve as the primary customer contact for technical and business issues for those accounts and territories assigned travelling to visit customers and prospects.
- Be able to personally conduct product trials in the field unassisted
- Identifies current and future product/service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule.
- Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit of products, engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
- Deliver technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs.
- Manage account inventories and placement of product orders, ensuring on-time delivery schedules.
- Prepares sales/engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information, engineering and application trends.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and seminars; reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
- Contributes to sales effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
- Provide training and producing support material for other members of the sales team
- Able to serve as prime negotiator for targeted campaigns, consistent with lines of authority.
- Performance of other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience
- 5 Plus Years of relevant experience
- Problem Solving, Product Knowledge, Selling to Customer Needs, Ethanol production knowledge, Product Development, Presentation Skills, General Statistical Skills, Technical Understanding, Verbal Communication, Innovation
Physical and Mental requirements: Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner:
- Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
- Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction.
- Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction,
- Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time.
- Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.
- Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
- Operating a motor vehicle for extended periods of time, sometimes requiring overnight travel.
- Following customer safety rules and procedures.
